The Criminal Investigative Division is responsible for investigating serious crimes that occur. CID is broken down into three detailed sections: Violent Crime, Property Crime and Special Victims. Each unit is responsible for the investigation and clearance of certain types of crime. The Criminal Investigative Division is led by Captain Pete Anders. |

The Violent Crime Unit investigates all crimes of a violent nature and any crime committed with a firearm or believed to have been committed by a street gang member.
The Property Crime unit investigates property crimes such as Theft, Burglary, Forgery, Auto Theft and Insurance Fraud.
The Special Investigations Unit is responsible for the investigation of all types of child abuse, sex crimes and crimes/issues related to children and their wellbeing.
