Patrol Officers are assigned to each platoon. Two Street Sergeants and one Desk Sergeant supervise these officers. Several Patrol Officers on each platoon are designated as Field Training Officers with the responsibility of providing essential practical experience and training to newly hired officers. One canine handler and dog are assigned to each platoon. Officers are permanently assigned to Neighborhood Policing or contracted service areas.

In addition to the four platoons, the Patrol division includes Patrol Services, Crime Prevention, Neighborhood and Community Policing, and Selective Enforcement. The Special Emergency Response Unit and the Bicycle Rapid Response Unit are also included in the Patrol Division.

The Patrol Division is led by Capt Brian Wiczkowski.
