The Training department is headed by Sgt. Chris Laser and is an integral part of the department hiring process. Sgt. Laser arranges all training for officers and civilians in the department. Training can vary from simple classroom instruction to hands on firearm training.

• Equipment such as guns, badges and ammunition are provided to the officers through the training department.
  
• The Cadet program and recruit training is provided or arranged through the Training department.
  
• Firearms training consists of setting up scenario based training, moving steel targets of approximately 100 lbs., moving furniture for building search simulation training. Teaching proper stance and grip of firearms. Demonstration of stress based shooting courses, (running, jumping and shooting on the move for tactical training).
