On July 29, 2012 at approx. 6:41 PM, officers were dispatched to 46 N. Prince Street for a cardiac arrest call. Patrol officers responded to the scene and found an adult male deceased in an apartment. Officers contacted investigators and the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office, who assisted with the investigation. At this time, the exact nature of the death is unknown, however an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause and manner of death. Investigators are not releasing any additional information regarding the victim at this time, pending next of kin notification.
Lancaster City Police have charged the following individual with Criminal Homicide in connection with the murder of Rouit Bahadur (21 E. Walnut St.):

At 12:11 a.m., July 24, 2012 Lancaster City Police officers were dispatched to an apartment building in the 1st block of E. Walnut St. for a report of a cardiac arrest. Upon arrival, officers located a deceased 59-year-old male resident of the apartment. The victim had visible traumatic injuries. LCPD detectives and the Lancaster County Coroner were notified and responded to the scene. This death is being investigated as a homicide. Additional details will be released as they become available. The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
CRIME OF THE WEEK 12-28 Week of July 23rd, 2012 STABBING SUSPECT
Shortly before 1:45 pm, Wednesday, July 18th Officer Josiah King responded to a suspicious activity call, which took place in the area of the 300 Blk W. Mifflin St and the 400 Blk W. Vine St. Off. King spoke with the victim, a 35 year old Lancaster City woman, who reported that less than a half an hour prior to this, she had been walking in the 300 Blk W. Mifflin St, when she observed an olive-green Nissan Altima traveling in reverse, in her direction, in the 1st Blk S. Mulberry St. She stated that she then observed the vehicle turning into the 300 Blk W. Mifflin St and stop. At this point, as the victim was passing the vehicle, the lone occupant of the vehicle, whom she described as a light skinned male in his 40’s to 50’s wearing glasses, opened the driver’s door, grabbed her by her arm and attempted to pull her into the vehicle. The victim reacted by pulling herarm away and managed to walk away from this suspect and vehicle.
UPDATED INFORMATION AS OF 18 JULY 2012:
On 8 July 2012, at approx. 3:05 am, officers from the Lancaster City Bureau of Police responded to 239 W. King Street for a stabbing. Officers encountered the victim, who was riding in a vehicle, and learned that he had been stabbed on W. King Street, outside of 239 W. King Street. The victim, a 33 year old Lancaster man, was then taken to an area hospital by EMS, where he was being treated for a stab wound to the torso and a laceration to the head and neck area. The victim’s injuries did not appear to be life threatening.
