CRIME OF THE WEEK 12-48
On Friday December 21, 2012 School Resource Officers (SROs) assigned to the School District of Lancaster (SDoL) received information from school officials at Lampeter-Strasburg School District. A student at LSHS received a text message from a student at JP McCaskey East High School, earlier on December 21, 2012.
General Growth Properties (GGP), the owning/managing company of Park City Center is implementing a number of efforts to deter the number of crows congregating on the roof of the mall. GGP has applied for a noise variance from the City of Lancaster. GGP is arranging a number of crow effigies in order to keep crows from landing on the roof.
Shortly before 12:30 pm today, December 18th Officers were dispatched to Luciano’s Store, located at 259 W. King St, for the report of a Robbery with a knife, that had just occurred. As Officers were arriving, information was obtained that the suspects involved had fled into the Umbrella Works Apartment Building, across the street from the store.

CRIME OF THE WEEK 12-47 Week of December 17th, 2012 BURGLARY SUSPECT
Three women were arrested and charged with prostitution and other offenses this week (4-6 DEC 2012) during a Police Operation conducted by the Lancaster City Bureau of Police Selective Enforcement Unit (SEU).
On Monday November 26 approximately 8:15AM Officer Sumrall, the patrol officer assigned as the school resource officer at Reynolds Middle School – 605 W. Walnut St. was alerted by school staff that a 13 year old female student was walking to school in the area of the 100 Block of Nevin St. when she was approached by an unknown White Male subject. The unknown subject grabbed the student. Apparently a citizen who was near a car in the same block saw that something was happening and the citizen intervened pushing the unknown male away from the student. The student then ran to Reynolds Middle School and reported the incident to the staff. The student was not injured.
