On May 26, 2013, at 10:58 p.m., Officers from the Lancaster City Bureau of Police were dispatched for a report of a shooting at a home in the 800 blk. of Prangley Ave. Officers responded to the location and discovered a 25-year-old male victim at the scene who was suffering from a single gunshot wound to the base of his neck on the left side. The victim was transported to Lancaster General Hospital by ambulance for treatment.
At 12:17 a.m. June 18, 2013 Lancaster City Police responded to the 500 blk. W. James St. for a report of a stabbing. Officers located a 21-year-old male victim (city resident) suffering from multiple stab wounds to his torso and extremities. The victim was transported to a local hospital as a trauma patient. While his injuries are very serious he is expected to survive. Officers at the scene spoke to the victim and several witnesses and quickly determined that the stabbing was the end result of what began as a mutual fight between the victim and a subject known to the victim. The fight / stabbing occurred outdoors in the 500 blk. W. James St. The suspect was located inside of his residence, an apartment building in the 500 blk. W. James St., and was positively identified by witnesses. He is:
Lancaster City Police have made two more arrests in connection with the May 28th robbery of J & K Supermarket, 545 New Holland Ave. and the May 30th robbery of Mea's Grocery Store, 121 E. Walnut St. Previously, Kevin Ware and Rachel Burk were charged in these robberies after being identified from surveillance video. Through additional investigation it was determined that Allison Moss, 28, also participated in these robberies. Moss participated by driving the get-away car, Moss' silver Hyundai Accent during both robberies. Moss was charged with (2) counts of Robbery and (2) counts of Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Robbery by Det. Sgt. Nate Nickel before MDJ Janice Jimenez. Moss was arrested at her residence by West Hempfield Twp. Police on June 12, 2013. She was arraigned and committed to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $20,000.00 bail.

On June 12, 2013, at approx. 10:15 PM, Officers from the Lancaster City Bureau of Police were dispatched to the 100 block of N. Pine Street for a report of shots fired. While enroute to the scene, Lancaster Countywide Communications advised the responding officers of a shooting victim who was to be inside a vehicle in the 100 block of Nevin Street. Officers responded to that location and located a male subject, who was unresponsive and suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was taken to Lancaster General Hospital, where he was subsequently pronounced dead a short time later. The victim is not being identified at this point, pending notification of the next of kin.
