PUBLIC NOTICE

FY2010 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Application 

Public notice is hereby given that the City of Lancaster, in partnership with the Lancaster County, will be submitting an application for the FY2010 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) to the U.S. Department of Justice. The JAG program is the primary provider of Federal criminal justice funding for eligible state and local jurisdictions to support a wide range of crime prevention and intervention activities based on local needs and conditions. 

Projected use of funds for the City’s JAG application will be for the purchase of police patrol vehicles to enhance public safety. Programmatic and budgetary details are outlined in the grant application # 2010-H6694-PA-DJ.

The application will be available for review by contacting Captain Stephen Skiles at the Lancaster Bureau of Police located at 39 West Chestnut Street Lancaster, Pa 17603 (717) 735-3406. Normal office hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5 pm. Written comments will be accepted by Cpt Skiles through the close of business on 30 June 2010.
