4.24.13 Shooting, Fugitive & False ID Arrest
Shortly before 10:00 pm, April 22nd officers were dispatched to the area of the 500 Blk S. Christian St (area of Woodward & Christian Sts) for a report of shots fired, although no evidence of a shooting could be located at that time. Then, shortly before 10:30 pm, Officers Chris McCormick and Steven Alexander were dispatched to Lancaster General Hospital for a report of a subject who had arrived at the hospital as a result of a shooting, that was to have occurred in the 500 Blk Woodward St. (area of Woodward & Christian Sts).

4.22.13 Gun Arrest
At 5:34 p.m. on April 21, 2013 Lancaster City Police officers were dispatched to the Lancaster County Park to assist park rangers with a fight at one of the basketball courts. As park rangers arrived at the basketball courts, one of the rangers observed a male subject, later identified as Angel Luis Gonzalez-Tirado, 20 years old, resident of the 700 blk. Manor St., Lancaster remove a handgun from his waistband and throw it into a wooded area. Rangers attempted to stop Gonzalez-Tirado but he fled on foot. Gonzalez-Tirado was later located on the property of the Youth Intervention Center hiding behind a dumpster. Park Rangers positively identifed Gonzalez-Tirado, the gun was recovered and Gonzalez-Tirado was transported to LGH for facial injuries received from the fight at the basketball court. Gonzalez-Tirado refused treatment and was transported to the Lancaster City police station where he was charged by Off. Will Smith before MDJ Richard Simms with Firearms not to be Carried Without a License and Defiant Trespass (Bail amount unknown - Gonzalez-Tirado was committed to Lancaster County Prison).
4.22.13 Unlawful Restraint, Threats, Assault Arrest
Lancaster City Police charged a 21-year-old Philadelphia man following an incident where he threatened to kill a 23-year-old city woman. The victim stated that she had been involved in a brief relationship with Eric R. Rivera. At 7:00 p.m. April 20, 2013, Rivera made threatening statements to the victim, telling her he would kill her, placing her in fear for her life. When the victim told Rivera to leave her apartment (in the 200 blk. W. James St.) he pointed a knife against the victim's back and forced her to drive him to Long's Park. While at Long's Park (1411 Harrisburg Pk) Rivera put a knife against the victim's left cheek and again made threats against her life. Rivera then forced the victim to drive them back to her apartment. While in the apartment, Rivera put the knife up against the victim's torso and neck and threatened to cut her and kill her. The victim was afraid to leave so she waited until Rivera fell asleep before fleeing the apartment. The victim went to a relative's house and called police. Rivera was arrested at the victim's apartment and has been charged with three counts of Simple Assault, one count of Unlawful Restraint, and two counts of Terroristic Threats by Off. Nelson Ramos before MDJ Bruce Roth. Rivera was arraigned and committed to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $250,000.00 bail. All persons accused of crimes are considered innocent until proven guilty.
4.22.13 Robbery Arrest
At 9:37 p.m. April 21, 2013 Lancaster City Police officers responded to the area of Crystal Park for a report of a robbery. Officers located the victim, a 22-year-old city man, who stated he was walking in the 1st blk. of Reo Ave. when he was approached by three male subjects, one of whom thrust a handgun against the victim's head and demanded that the victim surrender his belongings. The victim dropped a cigarette lighter and a small amount of cash on the ground, and the suspect forcefully removed a pair of headphones and an attached cell phone from the victim's head. The suspect picked up the lighter and money and all three suspects fled the scene.
