Local Artist to Donate Portrait for Mounted Unit Fundraiser
Local artist Carl Woerner of Pencilworks Studio, 145 N. Prince St., Lancaster has graciously agreed to donate his time and talents to help raise money for the Lancaster City Police Mounted Patrol Unit.
Pencilworks Studios and Gallery has unveiled a new artwork entitled "The Gift". This original drawing is a mixed media work approx. 32” x 40”, and portrays a mounted officer receiving a rose from a child as a gift to the department for all the hard work they do as ambassadors to the community. The original will be on display at Pencilworks Studios and Gallery until early August.
The Lancaster Police Foundation is selling tickets for an opportunity to win the portrait. Tickets are $5.00 each and all proceeds will be donated to the Mounted Unit.
