2.24.14 Charges filed re: Shooting on Jan. 19

     Lancaster City Police have filed charges against Jovar Juwan Jackson in connection with a reported shooting that occurred on January 19th, 2014 in the 400 blk. S. Queen St. Officers were dispatched to this location at approximately 11:15 pm and located Jackson, who was suffering from a single gunshot wound to his right thigh. He was conveyed to LGH where he was treated for his injury. Jackson was uncooperative with officers at the scene and during attempted follow-up interviews. Investigators continued to gather information and evidence and determined that Jackson had actually accidentally shot himself. Detective Stan Roache charged Jackson with Firearms not to be Carried Without a License (F-3) and Recklessly Endangering Another Person (M-2) before MDJ Winters, and a warrant was issued.
