1.26.13 Burglary Suspect Held at Gunpoint by Citizen

         On Wednesday, 23 January 2013, Lancaster City Police Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Mill Street regarding a possible burglary in progress. Upon arrival it was determined a Lancaster City resident was holding the suspected burglar at gun point. The  detained suspect was taken into custody.

          As the investigation unfolded police learned a burglary occurred the day before on Tuesday, 23 January 2013. After this burglary was reported the victim spoke to neighbors and learned they witnessed a suspect commit the burglary. From their description the victim believed he knew who burglarized his house. The victim returned to his home unexpectedly this past Wednesday. While in his house on the second floor of his home apparently the same suspect knocked at his front door and entered his home. While family members contacted the police the home owner confronted the suspect on the first floor and held the suspect at gun point until police arrived. 

         A second suspect was seen fleeing the area in a gold 2-door, Honda, Accord. He is described as a light skinned Hispanic male possibly in his late 20’s or early 30’s who has green eyes. Taken into custody was:
