1.29.14 Updated Information on Shots Fired, Shooting

Updated information re:

Shots fired 1st blk. E. Ross St.

Shooting 400 blk. High St.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the shots fired incident that occurred Monday 1/27/14 in the 1st blk. of E. Ross St. and last night’s shooting in the 400 blk. of High St. Police are continuing to search for the 16-year-old male who was reported missing by his parents immediately after the Ross St. incident. It is believed this juvenile was in the area when the shots fired incident occurred. He has been identified as:

Daequan Wilcox 16-year-old male

Resident of 100 blk. E. Ross St. Lancaster














Wilcox contacted family members by phone and met with family members briefly today, but he has since absconded again. His whereabouts are currently unknown. Wilcox is still listed as a missing juvenile in the National Crime Information Center (NCIC). Anyone who has knowledge of Wilcox’s location is asked to call Lancaster City Police. Detectives are continuing to interview witnesses and are following up on leads in both of these ongoing investigations. Police are looking into the possibility that these two shooting incidents may be related.
