2.12.13 Robbery Arrests

At 7:42 p.m. Feb. 11, 2013 officers were dispatched to Superstar Grocery, 601 N. Lime for an armed robbery that had just occurred. Officers arrived and learned from the victim / store owner that a male suspect entered the store, pointed a handgun at him and demanded money from the register. When the register would not open, the suspect grabbed the entire register and fled on foot. Minutes later, Sgt. Richard Heim attempted to stop two subjects in the 500 block of Burrowes Ave. One fled on foot and was stopped about a block away. This subject, Troy D. Fry, 23, of the 900 blk. E. Walnut St. matched the description of the suspect. The victim was brought to the scene where he identified the subject as the robber. He was arrested and taken to the police sation. The other subject stopped, Tyler Fry, 21, same address as Troy (Troy and Tyler Fry are brothers), was arrested on a summary warrant. A pellet gun was found in Troy's path of escape and the cash register was later located by officers in the 600 block of N. Jefferson St. Both subjects were interviewed by detectives and charged with Robbery and Criminal Conspiracy by Det. George Bonilla before MDJ Janice Jimenez. Both were committed to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $100,000.00 bail.

All persons accused of a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.
