4.02.13 Shooting - Barber Shop, King and Plum

     Shortly before 9:00 pm, Monday April 1st Lancaster City Police Officers were dispatched to the Karved Creations Barber Shop, located at 401 E. King St, the intersection of King and Plum Sts, for a report of a shooting.  Upon arrival, Officers located the victim, a 29-year-old proprietor of the shop, who was suffering from gunshot wounds to both legs and he was subsequently conveyed to a local hospital via ambulance with what is believed to be non-life threatening wounds. 

     The preliminary investigation conducted thus far has determined that a lone suspect entered the shop, fired multiple shots, two of which struck the victim in the legs and he was last seen fleeing south on Plum St from the area of the shooting. 

     Detectives responded, processed the crime scene and interviewed several witnesses.  There are no indications at this point to indicate that any Robbery nor Robbery Attempt took place and there are no indications that this was random in any way.  Detectives are following up on leads as of this morning. 

     Anyone with information is asked to call the Lancaster City Police at 735-3300.  Callers do not have to give their names to provide information.
