4.24.13 Shooting, Fugitive & False ID Arrest
Shortly before 10:00 pm, April 22nd officers were dispatched to the area of the 500 Blk S. Christian St (area of Woodward & Christian Sts) for a report of shots fired, although no evidence of a shooting could be located at that time. Then, shortly before 10:30 pm, Officers Chris McCormick and Steven Alexander were dispatched to Lancaster General Hospital for a report of a subject who had arrived at the hospital as a result of a shooting, that was to have occurred in the 500 Blk Woodward St. (area of Woodward & Christian Sts).
Officers spoke to the subject who had been shot and he described being shot in that area after an altercation with another individual in what this subject described as a Robbery Attempt. This subject sustained two gunshot wounds to his leg. Detective Sgt. Nathan Nickel then arrived at the hospital and questioned this subject further. Upon further investigation, it was subsequently discovered that this subject was providing officers with a false name and date of birth, as well as a false Virginia address. Keith Hall, 43

After learning his true identity, it was additionally learned that Hall was wanted for Robbery out of Essex County, New Jersey. As a result, he was arrested and charged by Off. McCormick with being a Fugitive From Justice(for the outstanding New Jersey Robbery Warrant), as well as Unsworn Falsification to Authorities (M-2) and False Identification to Law Enforcement Authorities(M-3), for providing false information relative to his name and date of birth, before Magisterial District Judge Janice Jimenez. He was then arraigned at the police station early on the morning of April 23rd on the Fugitive From Justice Charges by Magisterial District Judge Stoltzfus, who set bail at 1 Million Dollars on the Fugitive Charges. Hall was committed to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of bail. He will be arraigned on the False Identification and Unsworn Falsification Charges at a later date. The investigation into the shooting is continuing.
