4.6.2013 Armed Robbery-Shooting 713 Union St.

Shortly before 8:00 pm, Saturday, April 6st Lancaster City Police Officers were dispatched to The Image clothing store, located at 713 Union St, the intersection of Union and Laurel Sts, for a report of a Robbery in progress.  Additional reports immediately followed indicating this Robbery also involved a shooting at this location.  Upon arrival, Officers located two victims, a 29 year old proprietor of the clothing store and a 27 year old employee, both suffering from non-life threatening gunshot wounds.  They were subsequently conveyed to a local hospital via ambulance with what is believed to be non-life threatening wounds. 

 

     The preliminary investigation conducted thus far has determined that a lone armed suspect entered the shop with the intent of committing a Robbery and in the course of committing this Robbery, fired at least one shot, causing gunshot wounds to both victims.  The suspect then fled with an undetermined amount of money.

 

     Detectives responded, processed the crime scene and interviewed several witnesses.  Detectives are following up on leads as of this morning. 

 

     Anyone with information is asked to call the Lancaster City Police at 735-3300.  Callers do not have to give their names to provide information.
