6.15.12 Homicide Fugitive Arrest

     Shortly after 7:30 am today, the below Fugitive, who was wanted for Homicide out of Puerto Rico, was arrested at Garden Court Apartments in Lancaster City..

                   Lancaster City

     The Arrest was made by the US Marshals Eastern District Fugitive Task Force and Lancaster City Officers, after Pa. State Police Tpr Richard Drum received information as to the possible whereabouts of the suspect, the fact that he was wanted for a Homicide in Cayey, Puerto and was to have fled to Lancaster. The US Marshals Fugitive Task Force, with the assistance of the Lancaster City Police Patrol Division proceeded to this location this morning and upon checking, found the suspect and arrested him without incident in an apartment there.  The suspect was listed in the National Crime Information Center(NCIC) Computer as being wanted by the Police Department in Guayama, Puerto Rico and this was verified through the authorities there as well.      

     The suspect was conveyed to the Lancaster City Police Station, where he was charged with being a Fugitive From Justice(Arrest Prior to Requisition, F-1) before Magisterial District Judge Richard Simms by Officer Chad Binderup.  He was then arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Simms and was committed to the Lancaster County Prison with no bail.  He will be held there on these charges pending his extradition back to Puerto Rico to face the Homicide charges.
