19 June 2013 by Sgt. Bill Hickey

On May 26, 2013, at 10:58 p.m., Officers from the Lancaster City Bureau of Police were dispatched for a report of a shooting at a home in the 800 blk. of Prangley Ave. Officers responded to the location and discovered a 25-year-old male victim at the scene who was suffering from a single gunshot wound to the base of his neck on the left side. The victim was transported to Lancaster General Hospital by ambulance for treatment.

The victim was later interviewed by detectives and he described what happened. The victim reported that a black male who he knows as "Keeshond" knocked on his door and asked for marijuana.   While the victim was speaking with "Keeshond", a Hispanic male came through the front door and pointed a chrome semi-automatic handgun at the victim.   The Hispanic male said they were taking his marijuana and demanded cash. The victim stated that when he claimed he didn't have any money, the Hispanic male struck him in the left side of the face with the handgun and then fired one shot, striking the victim in the base of his neck on the left side. The victim stated the Hispanic male and "Keeshond" ran out the front door and then ran toward S. West End Ave.

**UPDATED INFOMRATION ON SECOND ARREST ON AUGUST 11th:**

As Detectives continued efforts to locate Font, which included working in conjunction with the US Marshals Eastern District Fugitive Task Force, shortly after 3:45 pm, yesterday, August 11th, he was arrested after a vehicle stop in the 1st Blk S. Franklin St by Officer Willard Smith, who was assisted by Officer Adam Dommel.  Font was found to be a passenger in a black Lexus, which Off. Smith had stopped for a Noise Ordinance Violation. During the stop, Font initially identified himself as Keeshond Cole(his accomplice in this case) and was also found to be in possession of approx. 2g of Crack Cocaine, so as a result, in addition to Lt. Winters’ charges in connection with the shooting, Font was also charged with Violation of the Controlled Substance Act--Possession of Crack Cocaine and False Identification to Law Enforcement Authorities(M-3) by Off.      Font was then arraigned on all of these charges by Magisterial District Judge Herman and bail was set at $5,000.00(10%) for the Drug/False ID Charges and $10,000.00(10%) for the Aggravated Assault/Robbery Charges.  He was subsequently committed to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of bail and on a Parole Violation.
