6.24.2013 Robbery Purse Snatching

On Sunday June 23, 2013 Officers from Lancaster City Police, Platoon B, responded to the area of 10 S. Prince St. for a report of a fight. As Officers were en-route, LCWC updated the information that it was not a fight but a purse snatching that had just occurred. A male, later identified as Michael Davila-Blanco, had grabbed a purse from a one of the sidewalk tables outside of the Prince St. Café at 15. N. Prince St. A struggle ensued between the victim and suspect. Davila-Blanco was able to pull the purse away from the victim.
As Davila-Blanco fled south across W. King St., several witnesses chased him to the area of 10 S. Prince St. He was detained by those witnesses until Off. Hockley arrived and was able to place him in custody. The witnesses and victim were able to identify Davila-Blanco as the male that had stolen the purse.
As a result of this incident Off. Hockley charged Davila-Blanco with (1) Count Robbery. He was held at the station until he was arraigned by MDJ Garrett. He was committed to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bail. A Lancaster County Probation Detainer was also lodged against Davila-Blanco.
