9.10.13 Stabbing

On 10 Sept. 2013, at approx. 4:17 PM, officers from the Lancaster City Bureau of Police were dispatched to the area of 722 Manor Street for a fight in progress.   While enroute to the scene, officers were advised by dispatchers that someone may have been stabbed.   When the officers arrived at the scene, they found a large group of people and a victim, who appeared to have been stabbed.   EMS responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment for a stab wound to the chest.    The victim, who was identified as an 18 year old Lancaster male, underwent surgery for his injuries and is currently listed in stable condition.  


Investigators responded to the scene and began gathering information from witnesses.    Investigators have been interviewing witnesses and subjects who had been involved in the disturbance/stabbing.   Investigators were also interviewing two subjects who were brought into the police station for questioning.   Investigators also processed the crime scene for possible evidence.   At the time of this release, interviews were on-going and investigators were attempting to locate additional witnesses.
