9.4.2013 Megan's Law Violators: Wanted Persons

Lancaster City Police Detective Donald Morant is assigned to the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) Criminal Investigation Division (CID). Det. Morant has been tasked with keeping tabs on convicted sex offenders within Lancaster City who are required to comply with the laws, rules and regulations of Megan’s Law Registry.

As a result of multiple investigations, Det. Morant has identified seven individuals who have failed to comply with the terms of Megan’s Law. As a part of the investigation, efforts were made to locate these individuals to verify their last known addresses. The violators listed below could not be located. Arrest Warrants have been issued for all seven individuals. They have been charged with Failure to Register and/or Failure to Verify Address or be Photographed. All charges filed are graded as 2nd degree Felony (F2).

Detective Morant spearheaded this effort along with other members of CID/SIU and ADA Karen Mansfield of Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office. This is part of the on-going county wide efforts of Operation Double Check.
