9.9.2013 Stolen Handgun Arrest
On Sunday September 8, 2013 at approximately 0253 hrs., Officers from Lancaster City Police Platoon A, responded to the 300 blk. S. Queen St. near the intersection of Conestoga St. for a report of a fight in-progress.
The first arriving Officers found that a group of people were attempting to restrain a male. The Officers were told that the male, later identified as Nathan A. Lewis, was in possession of a handgun. Officers separated everyone involved and began an investigation into the circumstances leading up to the confrontation. Lewis was later taken into custody for Public Drunkenness. He was found to be in possession of a .357 revolver. That handgun had been reported as stolen to the East Earl Twp. Police Department.
As a result of this incident Nathan Lewis was charged with Persons not to Possess a Firearm (F2), Firearms not to be Carried Without a License (F3), Receiving Stolen Property (F2) and Public Drunkenness (S). Lewis was treated and released at a local hospital for injuries received during the initial fight. He was arraigned on the Criminal Complaint by MDJ Stoltzfus for MDJ Simms. He was committed to LCP in lieu of $100,000 bail and a State Parole Detainer.
