Burglary Arrest

1 March 2013 by Lt. Bearinger

On 10 February 2013, Officers from the Cornwall Borough, Lebanon County, Police Department responded to a Burglary-in-progress call in the 200 block of Spring Hill Lane, Lebanon, PA.  Upon their arrival they encountered the below listed subject, TIRADO-TORRES, inside of a residence.  The officers’ investigation revealed that TIRADO-TORRES was in the process of cutting sections of cooper piping from inside of the residence and he had a large pile of cut cooper piping lying next to the window from where he gained entry into the residence.

TIRADO-TORRES was taken into custody by the Cornwall Borough Police Officers and charged by Officer G. Bender with Criminal Trespass, Burglary, Loitering and Prowling at Night Time, and Criminal Mischief.   During the booking process in Lebanon County the officers found several items on TIRADO-TORRES’s person, one item being a High School Class ring with a person’s name inscribed on the ring that was other than TIRADO-TORRES’s name.  Upon learning that TIRADO-TORRES was living in Lancaster at the time Sgt. Brett Hopkins made contact with the Lancaster Bureau of Police to inquire regarding the name on the ring.  It was determined that the person’s name on the ring matched a burglary victim in the 100 block of Nevin Street in the City of Lancaster, PA.

Detective Jason Drouillard, from the Lancaster Bureau of Police, was assigned to continue the investigation of TIRADO-TORRES within the jurisdiction of Lancaster City.  On 22 February 2013, Det. Drouillard and Det. Manuel Luciano went to the Lebanon County Prison to conduct an interview with TIRADO-TORRES.  During the interview TIRADO-TORRES confessed to burglarizing the residence in the 100 block of Nevin Street on two separate occasions, along with a residence in the 300 block of New Holland Avenue and another residence in the 800 block of First Street.

Among the items stolen in two of the three residences was cooper piping.  Also taken was electronic equipment, jewelry and outdoor equipment.  Detective Drouillard charged TIRADO-TORRES with the following additional charges:

4-counts of Burglary and  5-counts of Theft by Unlawful Taking

TIRADO-TORRES remains in the Lebanon County Prison on the charges from Cornwall Borough and will subsequently be arraigned on all the listed charges brought by Det. Drouillard.
