News Release - Stabbing

On 26 May 2012, at approx. 2:13 PM, Lancaster City Police officers were dispatched to the 500 block S. Christian Street for a reported stabbing. While enroute to the scene, the officers were advised by Lancaster Countywide Communications that the victim was at a local hospital, suffering from a laceration to the neck area. Officers learned that the victim was conveyed to... the hospital in a private vehicle. Officers also learned that the stabbing occurred after an altercation between the victim and the suspect. Officers checked the area, but were unable to locate the suspect. Detectives processed the scene for evidence and interviewed witnesses throughout the evening.

The victim is a 33 year old Lancaster man. The victim is being treated at an area hospital and is currently listed in critical condition, however his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
