Shortly before 12:30 pm today, December 18th Officers were dispatched to Luciano’s Store, located at 259 W. King St, for the report of a Robbery with a knife, that had just occurred. As Officers were arriving, information was obtained that the suspects involved had fled into the Umbrella Works Apartment Building, across the street from the store.
As a result, a contingent of Officers immediately surrounded this large apartment building and during this time, additional information was developed that led Officers to an apartment on the second floor of this building, which Officers were able to determine was connected to the suspect(s) involved. As a result, three suspects (two males and a female) were taken into custody, without incident, inside this apartment and were conveyed to the Police Station, where they were interviewed by Detectives.
It was determined that the below male was the suspect who entered the store, threatened the owner with a knife and demanded money, but fled without any loot….

Detectives also conducted a search of the suspect’s apartment and were able to locate additional evidence as well. As a result of the investigation, Detective Sgt. Nathan Nickel charged both of these suspects with Robbery (F-1) and Criminal Conspiracy (to commit Robbery, F-1) before Magisterial District Judge Bruce Roth and they will be held for arraignment. Both of these suspects were charged as Adults, under the Direct File Legislation, due to the fact that a deadly weapon (a knife) was used in the commission of this Robbery. The third suspect was released with no charges at this time, but the investigation into this Robbery is continuing.
